ARTIST BIO

Born in 1965 in London, England. 

Enjoyed art at school but never took it any further until I emergrated to Australia in 1999, where I was introduced to Victorian artist Kevin Boucher. 

Since that time I have regularly attended his studio to learn new techniques and enhance artistic skills.

It is only recently that I have started to have commission pieces and sell paintings through a couple of shows. 

I'm happiest when painting in oils with varied subjects ranging from Flowers, animals and seascapes. Most of my animal paintings have been for commissions. I'm currently enjoying the challenge of larger pieces and more contemporary.

I am finding that the use of social media is opening up a large network to showcase works and currently have my work showing through Instagram under the user name of Joanne_of_Art
