Hobby Artist, Mother, Grandmother and proud Great Grandmother. Peggy Steffen lives on the Mornington Peninsula, enjoys painting all styles, contemporary, country homesteads, Australian landscapes, European Street Scenes etc. Unique mill saws and antique hand saws with Australiana Homestead and country settings is also a style available from Peggy and is incorporated in her collection of works.
Her passions include, supporting the Victorian Cattlemans Association and attends the MCAV Annual Get-together and has done for around 30 years. Loves the Victorian Highcountry and is an avid reader works by Australian poets, Henry Lawson, Banjo Patterson.
Enjoys English and European History.
Peggy was born and raised in Yallorn North, Victoria and attends the 'Yallorn Old Girls Assocation!' annually and has for many years.
As an adventurous youngster she hitch-hiked around New Zealand in her late teens and prior to that in Australia she worked at the Mt Bullalo Chalet and enjoyed working with the Chalet horses riding and doing stable work and has a love of horses.
In later years while in her 60's she participated in a cattle muster in the area of the original Craigs Hut and enjoyed riding in the states High Country.
Peggy loves hitching up her caravan and escaping to the High Country and takes inspiration from nature and loves a peacefull setting and an expansive view.
An 'all rounder' is she who loves good company, a campfire and a fine red wine!
Peggy is like a good red and just gets better with age!
In her early 80's she is very active and lives to enjoy the blessings that life has to offer. |
