Terms and Conditions 2021 

The Fees and Key Dates at the foot of this document form an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.


  1. Entries for consideration to accept for hanging or display will be accepted on the dates shown under Key Dates.    Entries to be made online via Gallery 247.

  2. By submitting your works through our online process you enter into an agreement with The Rotary Club of Mornington Inc, hereafter referred to as “the Organisers” and you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  3. Each art work must be the original uncopied work of the exhibitor, have been executed during the 18 months preceding 1st January 2021 and must be for sale at the nominated price inclusive of GST where applicable.

  4. Photographs will be accepted for submission when entered as a limited numbered edition, signed and numbered by the artist. Photographic work needs to be entered through Gallery 247 and must adhere to the terms and conditions as displayed on the MorningtonArt Show website.

  5. Non Acceptable works (unless specifically invited by the organisers) include: Works of beaten metal, painted porcelain, ceramics, sculpture, computer generated works, bark arrangements or plaster relief. Other than numbered lino prints, all other prints will not be accepted.

  6. All entries must be supported with a photograph of the work on submission.

  7. In selecting art work for hanging, the organisers will show preference to works not previously exhibited in the MorningtonArt Show.

  8. You may submit any number of works for consideration for acceptance into the show, each submission attracting a fee as shown under Fees.  The Organisers, reserve the right to accept up to four (4) works from any one artist.  All accepted works will be displayed.

  9. Additional works may be accepted at the sole discretion of the Organisers.

  10. Submitted works should not have any dimension greater than 1.5 meters. However any over-sized entries with a measurement in excess of 1.5 m may be considered for hanging and sale at the discretion of the committee.

  11. Artwork works must be entered into the correct category with accurate dimensions that includes the frame when submitted.

  12. Multi-panelled pieces are accepted as one work but overall must not exceed the size limits as a whole.

  13. Artists will be notified by both email and text message when their work has been accepted for hanging/display. Artists must ensure correct (email/phone) are registered with Gallery 247.

  14. Artists whose work has been accepted will receive one free ticket to any of the public opening days excluding Opening Night.

  15. All art work must of a durable material, made ready for hanging (fitted with substantial hanging wire or heavy duty cord and 'flush D hangers'- NB:eyehooks are not acceptable).  Identifying labels supplied by the Organisers must be affixed securely to the rear of the work.

  16. You hereby authorise the Organisers to photograph and/or publish your work for the purposes of producing a catalogue or otherwise promoting the show by any means.

  17. The exhibitor shall permit his/her exhibit to remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.


  1. All exhibits must be delivered to the Art Exhibition Receiving Office, Peninsula Community Theatre corner Nepean Highway and Wilsons Road Mornington, on Monday 18 January, 2021 from 9:00am -2:30pm.

  2. Whilst the Organisers will exercise all reasonable care with exhibits in its custody, any damage to or loss of any exhibit caused during transit, or on display or in storage shall be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. Entrants are advised to insure their exhibits against any such damages or loss.

  3. Exhibitors accept responsibility for freight and other charges incurred in the delivery or return of an entry.

  4. Exhibitors and purchasers must collect their works on the designated date Wednesday January 27 2021 between (9:00am - 2:30pm), as no storage facilities are available after these times.

  5. If the exhibitor authorises an agent or courier (including Pack & Send) to collect unsold exhibits, this authority must be provide in written form to the Organisers at the time of delivery.

  6. Unsold art work collected by couriers will be packaged by the courier. Organisers are unable to guarantee return of art work in the original packaging.


  1. Prizes will be awarded in designated categories detailed on the Mornington Art Show website. Such prizes are at the sole discretion of the Organisers and/or the appointed judge, and no artwork will be eligible for more than one prize except where a prize winner has been elected by the public as "the People's Choice ' Award. No prize will be awarded for any category with less than 10 entries.

  2. Entries wishing to be judged for 'Best Mornington Peninsula Scene' must nominate at the time of online entry on Gallery 247 by checking the specific category box.


  1. Payment of submission fees will be made at the time of submission, and acceptance fees are payable at the time of acceptance; all such fees are non-refundable.

  2. Submission fee, payable at the time of entering: $5.00 per artwork.

  3. Acceptance fee, payable at the time of acceptance for display/hanging    *Small works: up to and equal to a total of 1.5m measured on two adjacent sides $12.00    *Large works: above 1.5m but not exceeding 2.5m measured on two adjacent sides $20.00     *Oversized works: above 2.5m on two adjacent sides $30.00 (if accepted by the organisers) 

  4. All  payments are via Gallery 247. 


The Club undertakes to pay by EFT to the Artist the sale proceeds less commission (inclusive of GST) plus any award prizes within 14 business days of the close of the Show ie February 10 2021. Artists will need to register current banking details either on Gallery 247 or directly with the Mornington Art Show.



  1. By entering this art show you acknowledge that the Rotary Club of Mornington Inc. is entitled to 25% commission on all sales effected by them, and that you have read and understand the above Conditions of entry and agree to be bound by them.

  2. For the last day of the Art Show (Australia Day Tuesday January 26 2021) permission will be sought from the artists to allow a price reduction of 20% for all unsold works as an incentive to promote addition sales.  In return, the organisers will reduce final day commission on these sales to 20%.  On delivery of art work, signed permission or confirmation for this final day price reduction will be required.  Artists may also nominate specific art works for this sale.  If necessary, organisers may contact artists by telephone or email in relation to this reduction sale.


  1. Submissions: Open Sunday November 22, 2020 and  Close Sunday December 20, 2020 at Midnight

  2. Notification that entries have been accepted: Saturday January 2, 2021

  3. Delivery of accepted works: Monday January 18, 2021   9:00am - 2:30pm to the Mornington Peninsula Community Theatre, Cnr. Wilsons Road & Nepean Highway, Mornington.

  4. Gala Opening:Thursday January 21, 2021 from 7:00pm Bookings available on website from December 1, 2020

  5. Art Show continues from: Friday January 22 - Tuesday 26, 2021 (Australia Day) 10:00am - 5:00pm each day

  6. Collection of unsold works:Wednesday January 27, 2021 from 9:00am - 2:30pm from the Mornington Peninsula Community Theatre, Corner Nepean Highway and Wilsons Road Mornington.
